Healthcare Assistant - (For care home assignments)
Responsible to: Nurse/Care Manager
Accountable to: Agency Manager
Job Profile:
You will play a key role in providing care and support to individuals within nursing and residential home environments, ensuring service users receive safe, individualised and effective standards of care, at all times, whilst maintaining confidentiality. You are accountable to the Nurse/Care Manager, and will conduct yourself as directed by senior management and staff.
Your will ensure that the service is provided at all times, in a way that meets the individual care needs of service users, whilst respecting their rights, privacy and dignity. Your aim is to maintain and improve an individuals independence by creating opportunities which take into account personal choice and preference, enabling individuals to exercise control over their life’s direction and personal affairs, whilst meeting their physical, social, health and emotional needs.
You are required to work as part of a team and to represent the organisation in a friendly, efficient and professional manner. You must complete the care activities assigned to you using the best of your abilities and are expected to assist in your own personal development.
In order to fulfil the requirements of the position you must be in general good health, able to withstand the pressures of care home assignments, and be able to comply with client no smoking policies.
