ROLE OF A PERSONAL ASSISTANT
The role of the PA is to work on a live-in basis with our elderly and physically disabled clients, assisting them with everyday tasks. Personal care assistant jobs usually last between four and six weeks, ( though this period can be extended), and the care work may include getting the client in and out of bed, toileting, washing, dressing, personal care, cooking, cleaning, shopping and general household tasks. It may also be necessary to drive the care service user’s vehicle and accompany them to work, social events, appointments or even on holiday.
