24hr Live in Home Care
Sunshine Care specialises in providing live-in care and our Platinum Package, (from £679 per week), and Gold Package, (from £497 per week), are designed to give you peace of mind, knowing that someone else is responsible for your care every day of the year if required. We provide a domiciliary care support service for over 600 clients, the majority of whom have come to need these services due to physical or mental disability and/or chronic or terminal illness. Before commencing a care package, a meeting is arranged with you to discuss your needs in detail. This comprehensive assessment enables us to propose an appropriate care package and quotation. Our care planning is person-centred and so we adapt our support to provide a bespoke quality care service to our customers. Flexibility is essential and our Care Agency insists that Personal Assistants see requirements and care work assignments from their client's points of view, fitting in with their routines and life styles. When selecting Personal Assistants we take into account their ability to communicate clearly (in english) and their demeanour and approach. They will be living in your home, with their own bedroom, for the greater part of the day and night and that you must feel comfortable and at home with them.
Our aim is to deliver the very best live-in care service and we attain this by:
- Recruiting the very best staff. All our PAs and Care Support Staff must successfully complete our 4 day in-house live in care training programme before they commence work. Thereafter, they receive annual updates to this core training. Our PAs and Care Support Staff also can access further short training courses, either on-line or by attending our Training College.
- Everybody is required to undertake their NVQ in Care within six months of joining our organisation.
- The specific needs of each client are matched with the capabilities and skills of our Personal Assistants and Care Support Staff.
- Our priority is to deliver superior continuity of care by assigning a PA to work with you on a regular rota.
- Personal Assistant, (PA), assignments are scheduled 2 to 6 weeks in advance to ensure that your care package is well planned and organised.
- All Care Packages are supervised by our qualified Agency Team, to ensure our service meets your assessed needs.
- Each situation is different; and so, we carefully define the nature of the support to be given, the carer's responsibilities, and the breaks required by the worker to comply with working time regulations and the minimum wage.
Our Personal Assistants are self-employed members of Sunshine Care Agency who are assigned by us on Gold Service terms. We give recommendations on what you should pay them; and all we charge is an agency fee, which is subject to VAT.
Our Care Support staff are employed by us and fully supervised in their role. We handle their entire payroll. This Platinum Service is slightly more expensive.
When recruiting its PA’s Sunshine Care Agency requires the following:
- A cheerful disposition, good character and pleasant personalities
- Adequate qualifications, skills and maturity
- Good references and a thorough CRB Police Check
- Team players
Our aim is to supply you with Personal Assistants and Support Workers whose experience and qualifications match your needs. See www.sunshinepersonnel.co.uk. They are expected to assist clients in numerous duties. These may include;
- Providing companionship and general life support.
- Enabling a friend or relative to have a respite break.
- Assisting with the many aspects of personal care.
- Assisting with mobility needs and encouraging independence.
- Shopping, cooking, washing, ironing and other light household duties.
- Escorting or driving clients to various locations, work or appointments.
Being there for you
Sunshine Care Support Staff are always on hand and prepared to assist at any time. We recognise that communication between ourselves is so imporant to our ongoing relationship. We need to hear from you when things are not going well or when you are happy with the support. Sunshine Care Agency operates a seven days a week on-call service which provides urgent back-up for care workers in clients homes.
Our Office Hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday; and 8am to 2pm, Saturday and Sunday.
